** A Brief Word from LaDawn**
Platinum Lining Events
It has been a great week for Platinum Lining Events! We have had a number of appointments with potential clients and our 2012 calendar is already filling up!! The great thing about working with Platinum Lining Events is we only do ONE wedding per weekend so we can dedicate all of our attention to YOU whether you are getting married on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Because of that, our calendar fills up quickly.
One of the reason’s I became a wedding planner is because there wasn’t anyone to guide me and give me professional advise/experience in planning my wedding. I made a lot of mistakes, some that cost me a lot of money!!
One of my biggest mistakes was having eight bridesmaids, two Jr. bridesmaids and three flower girls!! What was I thinking? It was crazy trying the juggle all those personalities through the planning and I won’t even tell you about the chaos on the day of my wedding!
Below is my advise on how to choose your bridesmaids!
Eventfully,

Simple to Sensational
This weeks Simple to Sensational Tip is:
**How To Pick (And Limit) Your
Bridesmaids!**
Being a bridesmaid is a time honored tradition. Most of you will choose at the very least 1 of your BFF’s to stand up with you on your big day. Choosing the best group of ladies is an important decision in your planning. Your bridesmaids will be the ones to offer you moral support, help you with your planning, throw your shower, help you get ready on your wedding day and wipe your tears. Choose wisely!
Here are some things to consider:
Don’t take this decision lightly, make sure the ones you choose you’ve known more than 2 years, trust and enjoy their company, always have a good time together, but more importantly, you just can’t imagine getting married without her by your side!.
Friends are important, but I believe family should come first especially if you and your sisters/sister-in-laws are close. Friends come and go but family is forever!
The more the merrier is not really the best statement when it comes to choosing your bridesmaids. Too many women, too many opinions, too many people to try and please. I think no more than 4, but do what feels right for you.
Another factor to take into consideration is, can they afford the expense? It costs to be a bridesmaid don’t put someone in an awkward position. If you know it could be potentially a hardship for them, don’t ask.
I don’t think it’s important to have the same number bridesmaids as groomsmen. When you try and do this, sometimes you end up choosing someone you may not otherwise have and that never works out. Do what is best for you.
